What is BAISC?

• We believe that AI Safety (AIS) is one of the biggest challenges and opportunities of the future and it is of paramount importance that we can harness the promises of AI by making it safe and ethical
• A large bottleneck that is currently faced by the field is a lack of highly skilled talent working on ensuring AI Safety.
• To help solve this, we have established BAISC, the Bristol Artificial Intelligence Safety Centre (we pronounce it “basic”).
• By promoting AI Safety and upskilling motivated students to contribute, we hope to positively impact the AI Safety field.
